Our Approach
Our teaching and learning approach rests on four foundations - each supported by the school's philosophy.
Pillar 1
Teachers at Maia use a mix of methods: direct instruction for new concepts, group work for practice, and projects for deeper understanding. No single method fits every student, so we adapt.
Pillar 2
Every classroom has a digital screen, and students use computers regularly. We teach coding from Grade 4, and teachers use digital tools to make lessons more interactive not to replace teaching.
Pillar 3
We assess students regularly through classwork, homework, quizzes and exams. Parents receive report cards each term, and we hold parent-teacher meetings to discuss progress.
Pillar 4
School is more than books. Students can join sports teams, music classes, art clubs, dance groups and community service projects. We also organise annual events like Sports Day and Cultural Programme.
